Overview
We are seeking a Senior Enterprise Architect to join a dynamic digital services client on a transformative greenfield project impacting millions of UK households. The successful candidate will be responsible for defining and governing the enterprise and target state architecture, ensuring that solutions and technology decisions are secure, scalable, and align with established architecture principles. This role requires close collaboration with various teams, including Engineering, Data, Operations, and Product leadership, to ensure coherent and efficient architectural design across multiple domains.
Responsibilities
- Set out, maintain and communicate the current, transitional and target architectures across business, application, data, integration, technology and security domains.
- Apply core enterprise architecture principles to ensure designs align with user-centered, cloud-first, and secure strategies.
- Advise solution architects and suppliers on design integrations across various platforms and services.
- Lead or support Architecture Design Authority reviews and evaluate significant design decisions and exceptions.
- Ensure end-to-end design of integrations, information flows, and operational support systems.
- Contribute architectural expertise to procurement, supplier selection, and delivery assurance processes.
- Collaborate with cross-domain teams to present clear options and recommendations to governance forums.
Requirements
- 10-15 years' experience in the Architecture domain.
- Proven experience at a principal level in enterprise architecture across complex, multi-platform environments.
- Strong background in business, application, data, integration, cloud, security and service architecture.
- Experience governing architecture through design authorities, standards, roadmaps, and supplier assurance.
- Hands-on experience with Azure ecosystems, PaaS platforms, and API-led integration.
- A recognized architecture certification such as TOGAF or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience working in highly regulated environments.
- Candidates must hold a valid EU/UK passport.
