Overview
We are seeking an experienced Business Intelligence Developer to join a growing data team on a 6-month contract basis. The contractor will primarily focus on the integration of a new business-critical data source into the organization's reporting and analytics environment, collaborating with data engineers and technical stakeholders to enhance reporting capabilities using Power BI. This role requires a strong understanding of both analytics and engineering functions, ensuring successful data integration and insight delivery to stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Lead the integration of a new data source into the analytics platform.
- Build and enhance Power BI reports and dashboards.
- Collaborate with Data Engineers to design scalable data processes.
- Understand and analyze source system data structures.
- Support the adoption of Microsoft Fabric and Azure technologies.
- Create processes and documentation for the engineering team.
- Engage with stakeholders to gather requirements and provide insights.
Requirements
- Strong Power BI development experience.
- Experience working with Microsoft Fabric and Azure.
- Good understanding of data engineering principles and modern data architectures.
- Experience integrating new data sources into reporting environments.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Comfortable taking ownership of projects and leading discussions.
- Proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to work independently.
