Overview
The Quality Assurance Engineer will play a crucial role in supporting testing efforts for a growing technology business as they prepare for a major launch. This position involves both manual and automated testing across web platforms, mobile applications, and connected devices. The contractor will collaborate with product, engineering, and QA teams to enhance testing capabilities and ensure robust quality assurance in services before a significant US launch.
Responsibilities
- Support testing efforts across web platforms, mobile applications, and connected device journeys.
- Assist in reducing regression time and improving release confidence ahead of deadlines.
- Collaborate closely with product, engineering, and QA teams to identify risks and prioritize testing coverage.
- Conduct API and integration testing using tools such as Postman.
- Apply hands-on automation experience with Playwright or similar frameworks.
- Test across web applications, APIs, and mobile apps as needed.
- Utilize a good technical understanding of C#/.NET, NUnit, and automation design patterns.
- Engage with CI/CD pipelines and prioritize release-focused testing.
Requirements
- Proven experience in both manual and automation testing.
- Strong understanding of web application, API, and mobile app testing.
- Hands-on experience with automation tools such as Playwright.
- Familiarity with C#/.NET and NUnit, and knowledge of automation design patterns.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and testing in a release-focused environment.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to discern what testing should be automated versus manual.
- Ability to work effectively in small teams and take ownership of tasks.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and adjusting priorities as needed.
