Overview
We are seeking an experienced Umbraco Developer for an initial 3-month contract to support our busy technical team. The successful candidate will work on both upgrading existing client sites and developing new features using Umbraco 17. You will collaborate closely with project managers, developers, and testers to ensure timely delivery and integration of various services and components, benefiting from a friendly and supportive team environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop and customize Umbraco sites, including document types and templates.
- Upgrade existing client sites from previous Umbraco versions.
- Integrate internal and third-party services and APIs to enhance website functionality.
- Work with the Umbraco backoffice extension model in Umbraco 17.
- Collaborate with project teams to facilitate testing and release processes.
- Utilize Git and manage build and deployment pipelines in GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps.
- Perform unit and integration testing using frameworks such as NUnit or xUnit.
- Communicate progress and challenges effectively within the team.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience as an Umbraco developer with live projects.
- Proficiency in C# and ASP.NET Core.
- Hands-on experience with Umbraco 17 and completing at least one site upgrade.
- Familiarity with Umbraco Cloud and Azure hosting.
- Knowledge of SQL Server and Entity Framework Core.
- Basic front-end skills in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript or TypeScript.
- Experience with unit testing frameworks like NUnit or xUnit.
- Strong time management and self-prioritization skills to handle multiple tasks.
