Overview
As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will play a key role in the mobile platform team for a UK government app, primarily focusing on the management of its AWS environment. This remote role allows you to work from home, while requiring occasional office attendance for team collaboration. You will be responsible for implementing best practices in infrastructure as code and guiding more junior engineers in their development efforts.
Responsibilities
- Manage the AWS environment for the mobile platform app and its supporting services.
- Write infrastructure as code using CloudFormation and Terraform.
- Oversee the release processes and standards for the application.
- Administer services such as Lambda, API Gateway, KMS, and WAF.
- Provide expertise in SigV4 authentication.
- Review and mentor junior engineers in the team.
Requirements
- Extensive experience with AWS and its services.
- Proficient in CloudFormation and Terraform for infrastructure as code.
- Hands-on knowledge of Lambda, API Gateway, KMS, WAF, and SigV4.
- Experience in guiding and mentoring other engineers.
- Ability to make informed technical decisions for the team.
