Overview
We are seeking a DevOps Engineer contractor to join a dynamic consultancy team focusing on large-scale cloud, container, and software projects. The ideal candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams of DevOps engineers, architects, and developers to enhance DevOps and engineering practices for a key client. This role requires a strong background in development and experience with various cloud technologies.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive project initiatives.
- Implement and manage AWS services and infrastructure.
- Utilize containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes.
- Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform.
- Automate CI/CD pipelines and enhance overall automation practices.
- Assist in coding tasks using object-oriented programming languages such as Python, Go, or Java.
- Participate in scaling DevOps practices and engineering methodologies.
Requirements
- Strong experience with AWS and its associated services.
- Proficiency in containerization and orchestration with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Demonstrated experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
- Knowledge of CI/CD processes and automation tools.
- Background in software engineering with proficiency in object-oriented programming (Python, Go, or Java).
- Experience working in a consulting or cross-functional team environment.
- Comfort working in a hybrid model, with attendance in-office twice per week.
