Overview
We are seeking a Contract Senior Go Developer to join our engineering team in a remote-first consultancy environment with a client-facing focus. In this role, you will collaborate with team members to create innovative, scalable, and resilient software solutions. You'll leverage your strong backend engineering experience, particularly in Go programming, to design and maintain APIs and backend services, while also utilizing cloud technologies and best practices. This contract position is for a duration of 6 months, with potential for extension, and requires occasional visits to London.
Responsibilities
- Develop scalable and fault-tolerant software solutions using Go.
- Collaborate with client teams to design and build innovative digital products.
- Maintain and improve existing APIs and backend services, including SaaS platforms.
- Implement modern deployment practices, using Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud environments.
- Adopt and integrate AI tools to enhance engineering processes and solutions.
- Apply testing strategies across the full system lifecycle with a focus on performance optimization.
- Communicate technical concepts effectively to non-technical stakeholders.
Requirements
- Strong backend engineering experience, particularly with Go as a primary language.
- Experience working in cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Proficiency in building and maintaining APIs and backend services.
- Familiarity with modern infrastructure and distributed systems.
- Solid understanding of Docker, containers, and Kubernetes for deployment.
- Background in testing strategies, including TDD, with a focus on performance.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate technical ideas in business-friendly language.
