Overview
The Senior Python Developer will play a crucial role in the development of technology for Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) within a cross-functional engineering team. Responsibilities
- Develop scalable backend services using Python and modern backend technologies.
- Collaborate with engineering, trading, and energy operations teams to process real-time data from battery assets.
- Design and maintain cloud-native services in an event-driven architecture.
- Support automated energy trading and high-frequency battery telemetry.
- Implement optimization strategies and ensure reliable control of BESS sites.
- Contribute to the technical direction and engineering best practices of the team.
- Utilize technologies such as FastAPI, PostgreSQL, Kafka/Pulsar, and AWS in your work.
- Focus on scalability, reliability, performance, and observability in developed systems.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Python Developer with a strong focus on backend technologies.
- Experience in Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) or renewable energy sectors.
- Familiarity with cloud-native services and microservices architecture.
- Proficient in using APIs and high-volume data processing techniques.
- Knowledge of FastAPI, PostgreSQL, Kafka/Pulsar, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Strong understanding of CI/CD practices and tools.
