Overview
We are seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer for a contract position to spearhead a new client engagement right from the inception stage. This role entails hands-on technical work where you will directly interact with clients to explore solutions and create scalable proof of concepts, operating in a flexible environment that encourages the use of innovative tools without restrictive governance. Your contributions will set the foundation for a successful delivery team as they expand on your initial work.
Responsibilities
- Lead the technical exploration stage of client engagement.
- Develop proof of concepts to validate architectural designs.
- Define engineering pipelines and establish workflows for AI coding agents.
- Set quality standards including testing and code review procedures.
- Facilitate knowledge transfer to client's engineering team through collaborative work.
- Document architectural decisions for future reference.
Requirements
- Proven experience in utilizing AI agents to develop production software.
- Strong background in breaking down complex problems into workable solutions.
- Proficiency in TypeScript or Python, with experience in frameworks like NestJS or FastAPI.
- Direct experience in client engagement and presenting technical concepts.
- Excellent written communication skills for producing documentation and architectural records.
- Prior experience in consulting, professional services, or similar forward-deployed roles.
- Practical understanding of architecture suited for prototypes or production.
