Overview
We are seeking an experienced Automation Engineer for a 12-month fully remote contract focused on automating enterprise SASE and network security environments. The contractor will work collaboratively with network, security, and engineering teams to design and implement automation solutions that enhance the operational processes of security infrastructure. The role is ideal for individuals with a strong background in network security and hands-on experience in developing automation around security platforms and APIs.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop automation solutions across enterprise SASE and network security environments.
- Automate configuration, deployment, and operational processes using Python.
- Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
- Develop integrations using REST APIs.
- Automate security and networking workflows across cloud and SASE platforms.
- Work closely with network, security, and engineering teams to identify opportunities for automation.
- Improve repeatability, scalability, and reliability across security infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot automation scripts, API integrations, and infrastructure deployments.
Requirements
- Strong hands-on Python development and scripting experience.
- Strong experience with Terraform / Infrastructure as Code.
- Experience building and integrating REST APIs.
- Strong background within SASE, network security, or secure networking.
- Experience automating enterprise networking or cybersecurity environments.
- Good understanding of networking concepts including routing, firewalls, VPNs, and secure connectivity.
- Experience working within cloud or hybrid infrastructure environments.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
