Overview
The Cloud Network Engineer will be responsible for designing and implementing innovative solutions to enhance a dynamic global network for a prominent organization within the financial services sector. Working fully remotely, the contractor will collaborate with various teams to create secure, scalable network architectures using multiple cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, and Meraki.
Responsibilities
- Develop secure, scalable, and highly available network architectures using VPNs, VPCs, and load balancers.
- Provision, configure, and manage cloud-based network resources across AWS, Azure, and Cisco Meraki.
- Enforce robust security measures including firewalls and intrusion detection systems.
- Continuously monitor network performance and optimize for stability and efficiency.
- Establish secure connections between cloud environments and on-premises infrastructure using VPNs.
- Leverage automation tools and scripting to enhance network operations.
Requirements
- Strong hands-on experience designing and supporting network infrastructure within AWS and Azure.
- Proficiency in configuring Meraki switches, SD-WAN, and wireless solutions.
- Deep understanding of network fundamentals and protocols such as TCP/IP, VLAN, and MPLS.
- Experience with security protocols including IPSEC, TLS, and BGP.
