Overview
The Chief Technology Officer (CTO) will engage with strategic client programs as a senior technical authority, guiding large-scale transformations in the reinsurance sector through effective architecture and pragmatic delivery. This role involves closely collaborating with C-level executives to translate business goals into actionable technology strategies while also ensuring efficient obstacle resolution and supporting engineering teams. You will play a critical role in shaping and structuring projects to meet client needs while thriving in a fast-paced, startup-like environment.
Responsibilities
- Act as the senior technical leader within complex client environments.
- Shape and refine technology strategy alongside C-level stakeholders.
- Translate business ambition into executable architectural direction.
- De-risk large transformation programmes by breaking them into iterative value delivery.
- Identify and resolve any blockers as they arise.
- Support engineering teams to enhance their performance.
- Report concisely to internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements
- Proven consultancy technology leader with experience across multiple delivery engagements.
- Expertise in leading large-scale digital transformations within consultancy settings.
- Strong understanding of modern cloud and data platforms, including AWS, Azure, GCP, Snowflake, and Databricks.
- Experience influencing C-suite executives in technology-related discussions.
- Ability to manage ambiguity in complex organizational structures.
- Experience in a senior technology leadership role, engaging in engineering discussions.
- Demonstrated client management skills in senior advisory or delivery leadership positions.
- Highly valuable experience in insurance, reinsurance, financial services, or regulated industries.
