Overview
We are seeking an experienced Azure Software Engineer to contribute to a major AS400 modernisation programme within the New Vehicle Sales team. The successful contractor will collaborate closely with Product Owners, Business Analysts, and cross-functional teams to design, develop, test, and implement applications and integrations using modern Azure technologies. This compelling contract opportunity requires a strong technical foundation in Azure, .NET, and full-stack development to deliver high-quality solutions for vehicle sales processes.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Product Owners and stakeholders to gather and analyze functional requirements.
- Design, estimate, develop, test, and release new features in alignment with team goals.
- Develop and support Azure applications and integration components, following the solution architecture.
- Utilize the Microsoft 365 stack, including SharePoint and MS Dynamics, in application development.
- Create and maintain database solutions using SQL MI and Azure SQL technologies.
- Build data pipelines and ETL processes with Azure Data Factory and related technologies.
- Implement monitoring and alerting frameworks to ensure operational stability of solutions.
- Conduct unit and integration testing to ensure comprehensive coverage across technical components.
Requirements
- Proven experience with Azure cloud technologies and modern technology stacks.
- Strong expertise in .NET technologies, particularly C#.
- Full-stack development experience across UI and database layers.
- Familiarity with Azure Functions, APIM, CDN, Data Lake, and other Azure storage technologies.
- Experience in developing applications using languages such as JavaScript and Python.
- Knowledge of CI/CD practices and tools such as Azure DevOps and GitHub.
- Ability to manage code, builds, and release automation effectively.
- Experience in Agile methodologies, particularly within Scrum teams.
