Overview
We are seeking a Senior Microsoft 365 / Azure / SharePoint Consultant to lead the design, migration, and governance of enterprise Microsoft 365 environments on a fully remote contract basis. This client-facing role will involve working closely with business and technical stakeholders to run workshops, produce architecture documentation, and engage in hands-on implementation activities. The consultant will drive tenant consolidation, workplace modernization, security, and compliance projects while ensuring alignment with best practices and organizational goals.
Responsibilities
- Lead discovery, assessment, and architecture workshops across Microsoft 365 and Azure to design tailored solutions.
- Deliver tenant migrations, consolidations, and divestiture-related separation projects, focusing on identity, mail, Teams, SharePoint, and data migration.
- Configure and optimize Microsoft 365 identity, collaboration, security, and compliance capabilities, including Microsoft Purview.
- Produce High-Level and Low-Level Designs, implementation plans, and operational documentation as a subject matter expert.
- Conduct platform health assessments, identify technical risks, and develop remediation and optimization plans.
- Advise on Microsoft licensing, governance, and security best practices and support operational handovers.
Requirements
- Proven experience delivering Microsoft 365 projects in enterprise environments, including M&A, divestiture, or tenant-to-tenant migration programs.
- Strong stakeholder management and workshop facilitation skills, with the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Ability to work independently across consulting and hands-on technical delivery roles.
- Experience in producing formal architecture and design documentation (HLD/LLD).
- Experience working within regulated or large-scale enterprise environments.
- Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and presentation skills.
- Desirable experience in Azure infrastructure and landing zone design, Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD), and Microsoft Purview compliance implementations.
