Overview
We are seeking an experienced Data Science Lead to spearhead high-impact data science and AI initiatives for an insurance brokerage. In this role, you will combine your technical expertise with strong leadership skills to collaborate with stakeholders, transforming complex business challenges into scalable, data-driven solutions while overseeing a dedicated team.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and delivery of data science, machine learning, and AI solutions from discovery to production.
- Support existing AI models hands-on with the Data Analysts team.
- Translate business challenges into actionable analytical approaches that deliver measurable outcomes.
- Provide technical leadership and quality assurance across data science and AI projects.
- Collaborate with product, engineering, data, and business stakeholders to ensure effective delivery and adoption.
- Mentor data analysts and establish best practices for modeling and productionization.
Requirements
- Proven experience delivering data science and machine learning solutions in complex commercial settings.
- In-depth expertise in Python, statistical modeling, machine learning, and modern data science tools.
- Experience with cloud technologies, particularly Databricks and Azure.
- Ability to take models and AI solutions from prototype to large-scale production.
- Demonstrated experience in leading technical teams and influencing stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong commercial acumen, balancing technical depth, speed of delivery, and business impact.
- Familiarity with heavily regulated environments, preferably within Insurance or Financial Services.
