Overview
We are seeking an experienced Analytics Engineer to join a rapidly growing UK organization on a contract basis. In this hands-on role, you will be instrumental in enhancing a modern data platform by building scalable data solutions and collaborating closely with stakeholders to convert complex data into actionable business insights.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain data pipelines using Python to ingest data from multiple source systems.
- Design and develop dimensional data models within Snowflake.
- Optimize Snowflake performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency.
- Deliver high-quality datasets and analytics for Power BI reporting and business intelligence.
- Develop and maintain ELT processes using tools such as dbt or SQLMesh.
- Implement data engineering best practices across CI/CD, GitHub, testing, and governance.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable data solutions.
Requirements
- Strong commercial experience with Snowflake.
- Advanced SQL and production-grade Python experience.
- Experience building modern ELT pipelines and cloud-based data platforms.
- Strong data modeling experience using dbt, SQLMesh, or similar tools.
- Experience supporting reporting and analytics through Power BI.
- Knowledge of Git, CI/CD practices, and modern engineering standards.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
