Overview
We are looking for a Contract DevOps Engineer to join a highly skilled engineering team dedicated to developing cloud-native platforms and modern deployment solutions in a secure environment. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining scalable infrastructure while ensuring the delivery of secure software solutions. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with developers and stakeholders to enhance platform performance and reliability, with a contract term running until June 2027 and a requirement for one onsite day per month.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and support AWS-based infrastructure and platform services to ensure high availability, security, and scalability.
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code solutions utilizing Terraform and Packer.
- Build, optimise, and maintain GitLab CI/CD pipelines to streamline software delivery.
- Deploy and manage containerised applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Implement GitOps methodologies using ArgoCD for continuous delivery.
- Administer Rancher-managed Kubernetes clusters ensuring security compliance.
- Manage artefact repositories and release workflows with JFrog Artifactory.
- Implement monitoring and observability solutions using Grafana and Prometheus.
Requirements
- Extensive experience with AWS services and cloud infrastructure.
- Proficient in Terraform, Packer, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitLab CI/CD and ArgoCD.
- Knowledge of observability platforms including Grafana and Prometheus.
- Python scripting skills for automation purposes.
- Active SC Clearance is mandatory.
- Experience working in secure or government environments is required.
- AWS certifications are highly desirable.
