Overview
The Principal/Staff Engineer will oversee a 6-month contract focused on migrating to a new third-party platform for premium finance integration. Working independently, the engineer will design, build, and deploy a robust solution while collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure seamless service continuity and accurate financial reconciliation throughout the migration process.
Responsibilities
- Map the existing premium finance integration, including APIs and batch processes.
- Define the technical approach for migrating to a new third-party platform.
- Independently design, build, test, and deploy a production-ready cloud-native integration.
- Ensure uninterrupted service for existing monthly-pay customers during the migration.
- Collaborate with Finance, Business Analysis, Engineering, Operations, and Compliance teams.
- Produce clear technical documentation and operational runbooks for the internal team.
Requirements
- Proven experience in staff-level engineering ownership.
- Hands-on experience with C#/.NET development.
- Expertise in Kubernetes and cloud-native delivery.
- Experience migrating third-party financial integrations in regulated environments.
- Strong understanding of system reliability, auditability, and resilience.
- Proven ability to manage cross-functional stakeholder communications.
