Overview
We are seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to lead efforts in simplifying infrastructure and enhancing platform reliability within a cloud environment. This position is well-suited for experienced professionals who have a background in Platform Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering, or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), with a focus on leveraging AI tools to optimize workflows. The contract role offers an opportunity to contribute to a transformative project while enjoying the flexibility of a fully remote work arrangement.
Responsibilities
- Build, manage, and operate multi-region AWS infrastructure using Terraform or OpenTofu.
- Take ownership of production Kubernetes environments, managing upgrades, networking, and reliability.
- Develop infrastructure automation using Python or Go to streamline operations.
- Improve CI/CD pipelines and GitOps workflows for reliable application delivery.
- Enhance observability and security measures to improve operational resilience.
- Utilize AI agents to enhance engineering processes and infrastructure management.
- Simplify complex systems and establish consistent infrastructure practices.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in Platform Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering, or SRE.
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS in a production environment.
- Proficiency in Terraform or OpenTofu for infrastructure as code.
- Experience with Kubernetes, specifically AWS EKS, including cluster management and scaling.
- Scripting skills in Python or Go for automation purposes.
- Knowledge of CI/CD improvements, monitoring, and platform security measures.
- A proactive approach to engineering challenges and the ability to simplify systems.
- Familiarity with AI tools to enhance technical workflows.
