Overview
This role involves working as a Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) on a major transformation project for a legacy Microsoft application that has migrated to Azure. The contractor will enhance automated testing processes, CI/CD pipelines, and overall release workflows, collaborating closely with engineering and QA teams to improve software quality and delivery efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Build and integrate automated integration and end-to-end tests into GitHub Actions.
- Automate Azure test environments, including infrastructure setup and teardown.
- Develop reliable test data creation and clean-up processes.
- Collaborate with engineering and QA teams to improve test coverage and reduce manual testing.
- Drive improvements to CI/CD practices and release automation.
Requirements
- Strong coding experience, ideally in C# / .NET.
- Hands-on test automation experience, particularly in integration and end-to-end testing.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Azure infrastructure.
- Experience with GitHub Actions and CI/CD pipelines.
- Proactive engineering mindset with the ability to take ownership in a legacy environment.
- Open to both experienced SDETs and Software Engineers with strong automated testing and Azure/CI/CD experience.
