Overview
We are seeking a Principal Forward Deployed Engineer to join a dynamic team specializing in cutting-edge AI solutions for defense and national security. This role involves leading technical engagements and overcoming complex infrastructure challenges while deploying software in secure environments. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work hands-on with innovative technologies and take ownership of full-stack development and deployment processes.
Responsibilities
- Lead technical engagements with senior stakeholders in the defense and engineering sectors.
- Own end-to-end deployments, from requirements gathering to integration, testing, and handover.
- Adapt cloud-native applications for Kubernetes, OpenShift, and private cloud environments.
- Work with GCP, Terraform, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Engage in full-stack development, addressing APIs and production troubleshooting.
- Oversee technical documentation, testing strategies, and security assurance procedures.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Principal Engineer or technical founder with 0-to-1 product development.
- Strong hands-on experience with GCP and infrastructure/DevOps practices.
- Proficient in full-stack development technologies including TypeScript, Node.js, React, and PostgreSQL.
- Experience in deploying and integrating complex software in varied infrastructure settings.
- Solid understanding of security engineering, testing, and technical assurance.
- Active DV clearance is required, with experience in defense or restricted environments viewed favorably.
