Overview
The Software Developer in Test (SDET) will join a specialized team focused on advancing the delivery of critical digital services for a public sector client. This role primarily involves developing and maintaining automated testing frameworks, enhancing CI/CD processes, and ensuring the consistent delivery of secure, high-quality software solutions in a complex stakeholder environment, with an emphasis on quality engineering practices and risk management.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain automated testing frameworks.
- Support Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) processes.
- Assure quality and security in software solutions across diverse stakeholder environments.
- Collaborate with Agile/SCRUM teams to enhance testing processes.
- Engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to facilitate software quality.
- Identify risks and resolve technical issues throughout the delivery lifecycle.
- Write and maintain MySQL scripts as part of the testing strategy.
- Continuously improve quality engineering practices and automation strategies.
Requirements
- Significant experience as a Software Developer in Test, Test Automation Engineer or SDET.
- Strong skills in Java and JavaScript development.
- Experience with Playwright and/or Selenium WebDriver for test automation.
- Familiarity with BDD tooling including Gherkin and Cucumber.
- Proven experience within CI/CD pipelines, particularly with GitHub Actions.
- Strong background in Linux environments and AWS-based systems.
- Knowledge of databases like MariaDB, Oracle, MySQL, and AWS Aurora.
- Experience working in Agile/SCRUM methodologies.
