Overview
We are seeking a skilled Contract C++ Developer to contribute to high-performance trading infrastructure used by global financial institutions. This fully remote position offers the opportunity to work with a distributed team on critical systems involving market data, trading connectivity, and real-time processing. The role focuses on designing and optimizing C++ applications while ensuring reliability and scalability in the development of trading technologies.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop high-performance C++ applications.
- Build and maintain real-time market data systems and feed handlers.
- Develop trading infrastructure and messaging components.
- Work extensively with multithreading, concurrency, and network programming.
- Identify performance bottlenecks and improve system throughput and latency.
- Develop reliable, scalable applications within Linux environments.
- Contribute to system architecture, technical design, and code reviews.
- Troubleshoot complex production issues to enhance overall system performance.
Requirements
- Strong commercial experience in modern C++ (C++11/14/17 or later).
- Solid experience in Linux development.
- Deep understanding of multithreading, concurrency, and memory management.
- Experience in developing high-performance, low-latency, or real-time systems.
- Good knowledge of TCP/IP, UDP, and socket programming.
- Experience in performance profiling, debugging, and optimization.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
- Familiarity with capital markets or financial technology is a plus, but not essential.
