Overview
As a Senior Project Manager on a contract basis, you will be responsible for leading complex, consumer-facing software projects within the sports technology sector. This position requires collaboration with cross-functional teams, including Product, Design, Engineering, and QA, to ensure successful project delivery from concept to launch while engaging with clients and senior stakeholders throughout the process. The role offers a unique opportunity to shape innovative digital experiences for sports fans globally.
Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end delivery of complex software projects across various disciplines.
- Act as the primary delivery point of contact for clients and senior stakeholders on assigned projects.
- Oversee project scope, timelines, budgets, risks, and resource plans in alignment with agreed objectives.
- Coordinate contributions from Design, Engineering, QA, and Product teams to facilitate agile delivery.
- Translate client requirements into clear scope, functional specifications, and user stories.
- Identify value-add opportunities for client projects based on their objectives and organizational capabilities.
- Recommend improvements to project delivery processes and team workflows.
- Provide project reporting and manage risks, dependencies, and escalations effectively.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience delivering software or digital product projects, preferably in contract or consultancy roles.
- Proven track record in delivering web, mobile, SaaS, or data-driven technology solutions.
- Experience engaging with both technical and non-technical stakeholders across various levels.
- Demonstrated ability to run multiple complex projects simultaneously in fast-paced settings.
- Strong stakeholder management and effective communication skills.
- Deep understanding of Agile delivery methodologies.
- Proficient in budget management, forecasting, and resource planning.
- Proactive in problem-solving and decision-making with a focus on risk identification and mitigation.
