Platform Engineer

Overview

We are seeking a Platform Engineer to play a pivotal role in a significant cloud transformation program, focusing on a critical platform built on AWS, EKS, Terraform, and GitOps. This hands-on position involves leading a small team of engineers while ensuring platform reliability, security, automation, and operational excellence. You will be responsible for managing production readiness and incident management, while also collaborating with various stakeholders and influencing architecture decisions.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of Platform Engineers.
• Own platform operations, production readiness, and incident management.
• Manage AWS, Kubernetes (EKS), and Terraform environments.
• Drive secure integrations using PKI, mTLS, and OAuth2/OIDC.
• Define CI/CD standards and deployment pipelines.
• Produce Architectural Decision Records (ADRs) and present solutions to governance boards.
• Manage platform roadmap and stakeholder engagement.
• Report on risks and project status to relevant stakeholders.

Requirements

• Significant experience with AWS, Kubernetes (EKS), Terraform, and GitOps.
• Proven team leadership or technical management experience.
• Expertise in cloud security, networking, and identity management.
• Experience supporting large-scale production platforms.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted engineering is a plus.
