Overview
We are seeking a Lead Solution Architect specializing in Databricks with a hybrid working model. In this role, the contractor will focus primarily on designing an Enterprise Data Platform (EDP) and leading a team of architects. The position involves high-level architecture discussions, governance practices, and mentoring technical staff without needing to engage in coding directly.
Responsibilities
- Design scalable data ingestion pipelines for Finance, ERP, CRM, and Supply Chain systems.
- Lead architectural planning for an Enterprise Data Platform (EDP).
- Facilitate and chair monthly Architecture Review Board (ARB) meetings.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to a team of architects and technical data staff.
- Ensure adherence to best-practice patterns and governance in data architecture.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to align technical solutions with business needs.
- Present findings and proposals to senior leadership and technical teams.
- Maintain oversight of integration components such as Azure Functions and Logic Apps.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Lead Solution Architect, particularly with Databricks.
- Strong knowledge of Azure Data Factory (ADF) and Azure SQL.
- Experience with Architecture Review Boards or similar governance processes.
- Ability to mentor and guide technical teams without direct line management.
- Familiarity with Master Data Management (MDM) principles is a plus.
- Understanding of ERP, TMS, and WMS datasets is desirable.
- Awareness of TOGAF framework is beneficial.
- Collaborative leadership style with strong communication skills.
