Overview
The Groundworker will join a well-established civil engineering team to support key infrastructure and maintenance works on a major industrial project. This role requires practical, hands-on operatives with prior experience in groundworks, drainage repairs, and various site operations. The position promises an immediate start and potential for extension based on project needs.
Responsibilities
- Perform general groundworks and civil engineering activities.
- Conduct infrastructure repairs and maintenance.
- Execute manhole and drainage repair works, including sealing and reinstatement.
- Carry out concrete and reinstatement works.
- Support excavation activities and finish work as required.
- Assist supervisors and site teams in delivering work safely and efficiently.
- Maintain excellent housekeeping and adhere to health & safety standards.
Requirements
- Proven experience in groundworks or civil engineering projects.
- Ability to perform a variety of civil, repair, and maintenance tasks.
- Strong understanding of site health and safety requirements.
- Demonstrated reliability and strong work ethic.
- Capability to work effectively within a team.
- Desirable: CSCS Card.
- Experience with drainage, chambers, and manhole repairs.
- CPCS or NPORS qualifications preferred.
