Overview
We are seeking an experienced Interim Credit Control Manager for a fully remote, 3 to 6 month contract to lead and enhance our credit control function. The successful candidate will work closely with finance partners, fee earners, and stakeholders to streamline processes, improve reporting, and support effective cash collection. This role is designed for someone immediately available, with a commercially minded approach and excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the credit control process across the firm.
- Drive timely collection of outstanding debts and reduce aged WIP and debt.
- Review, map and improve existing credit control workflows and templates.
- Introduce practical process improvements, reporting and controls.
- Work closely with Finance Partners, fee earners and senior stakeholders.
- Support a professional, client-focused approach to debt recovery.
Requirements
- Proven credit control management experience, ideally within a professional services or legal environment.
- Tech-savvy and confident using finance systems, reporting tools and process automation.
- Process-driven, proactive and able to identify and implement improvements quickly.
- Professional, resilient and appropriately assertive in stakeholder and client communications.
- Able to provide strong, relevant client references.
