Overview
The Interim Organisation Design Specialist will play a pivotal role in shaping the future operating model of a national not-for-profit membership organisation undergoing significant review. Collaborating closely with senior leadership, this contractor will develop, test, and optimize organisational structures, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives while enhancing workflow efficiency. This role is crucial in facilitating effective organisational design and service delivery improvements during the project period from October to December 2026.
Responsibilities
- Develop and evaluate future operating model options.
- Lead organisation design, process design, and service design activities.
- Review structures, roles, capabilities, and organisational dependencies.
- Map and analyse end-to-end workflows, identifying bottlenecks and opportunities for improvement.
- Assess the alignment of work flows with service delivery objectives in existing and proposed models.
- Model and cost future-state organisation designs.
- Produce target establishment and gap analysis outputs.
- Provide insights and recommendations to senior stakeholders.
Requirements
- Strong expertise in Organisation Design and Target Operating Model development.
- Experience in delivering organisation-wide redesign programmes.
- Capability in service and process design.
- Proficient in analysing workflows, decision points, and organisational effectiveness.
- Track record of translating strategy into practical organisational solutions.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, particularly with Executive Teams.
- Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on implementation.
