Overview
We are seeking a Java Developer to join a dynamic team engaged in developing innovative financial technology solutions. The contractor will work closely with experienced peers to tackle complex challenges, focusing on cloud-based environments and event-driven architecture patterns. This role emphasizes strong collaboration skills within an Agile environment, aimed at delivering high-quality front-office technology for major financial clients.
Responsibilities
- Develop robust server-side systems using Java and Spring.
- Collaborate with team members to design and implement event-driven architectures.
- Optimize existing systems and implement new features according to project requirements.
- Engage in pair programming sessions to ensure code quality and knowledge sharing.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement of practices.
- Utilize messaging technologies to enhance system performance and reliability.
Requirements
- Proven experience in Java (minimum Java 8, with Java 11+ as a plus).
- Strong understanding of Spring framework and experience with Cucumber and JUnit.
- Familiarity with version control systems, particularly GitHub.
- Experience with Front Office financial systems, E-Trading platforms, and FIX protocol.
- Hands-on experience with messaging technologies such as Aeron.
- Solid grasp of data structures, particularly sets, hashes, and caches.
- Prior experience working in an Agile development environment (Scrum, Kanban).
