MEP Project Manager

Overview

The MEP Project Manager will oversee the construction delivery of mechanical and electrical packages for an MEP subcontractor, focusing on major construction and infrastructure projects. This role involves managing site delivery, coordinating installation activities, and ensuring that all work aligns with project specifications and objectives. The successful candidate will work closely with site teams, subcontractors, and key stakeholders to ensure timely and efficient project completion through to handover.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the construction delivery of M&E packages from mobilization to completion and handover.
  • Coordinate mechanical and electrical installation teams, subcontractors, and specialist suppliers.
  • Monitor site progress, programmes, reporting, and delivery milestones.
  • Work closely with the main contractor, client, consultants, and internal delivery teams.
  • Ensure installations comply with approved designs, specifications, and project requirements.
  • Oversee quality assurance, inspections, testing, commissioning activities, and handover documentation.
  • Manage site queries, installation challenges, and coordination issues during delivery.
  • Support commercial teams with progress updates, variations, and project controls.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as an M&E Project Manager within an MEP subcontractor environment.
  • Strong background in managing the delivery of mechanical and electrical installations.
  • Experience coordinating subcontractors and specialist installation teams on major projects.
  • Good understanding of M&E construction processes, including testing, commissioning, and handover requirements.
