Overview

As an Oracle Developer, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting the development and configuration of Oracle Service Cloud solutions. This contract position emphasizes flexibility and offers the opportunity to work either part-time or full-time while collaborating closely with stakeholders to optimize customer service operations. The role is tailored for individuals with a strong technical background and a commitment to delivering efficient, scalable service solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Configure and administer Oracle Service Cloud (RightNow) applications to meet business requirements.
  • Design, create, and maintain custom objects, fields, tables, and relationships to support tailored customer service processes.
  • Develop and configure business rules, workflows, and automation processes to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Configure workspaces, reports, dashboards, and user interfaces to facilitate user engagement and data visibility.
  • Support data management activities, including data imports, exports, and integrity checks to ensure data accuracy.
  • Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve platform, configuration, and data issues promptly to minimize operational disruptions.
  • Document technical designs, configurations, and development activities for compliance and future reference.

Requirements

  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent commercial experience.
  • Certification in Oracle Service Cloud is highly desirable.
  • Proven experience in developing and configuring Oracle Service Cloud (RightNow).
  • Knowledge of SQL and database design is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with APIs (REST/SOAP) and integration processes.
  • Professional certifications related to Oracle Service Cloud or similar platforms are considered a significant asset.
  • Ability to obtain DBS clearance for compliance with security standards is necessary.
