Overview
We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer to support the delivery of complex marine and subsea equipment projects in a hands-on, project-focused engineering role. This position involves working across design, production, and commissioning stages, where you will integrate systems, lead design reviews, and ensure successful delivery of innovative subsea solutions. The role is a 6-month contract, offered on a hybrid working basis.
Responsibilities
- Act as a bridge between Project Management and Engineering to coordinate technical activities.
- Lead design reviews and respond to Technical Queries while maintaining action trackers across engineering teams.
- Field project-related questions on system integration and interfaces, ensuring clear communication among internal teams, suppliers, and stakeholders.
- Liaise across multiple functions including Production, Purchasing, Commissioning, Quality, and Finance to meet project milestones.
- Develop and review core engineering documents such as design directives, standards, and installation procedures.
- Oversee fabrication, assembly, testing, and painting to ensure quality and compliance with engineering requirements.
Requirements
- Proven experience in marine, shipbuilding, subsea, or related fields such as offshore.
- Project engineering experience including planning, team management, and risk mitigation planning.
- Strong understanding of AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor, with daily 3D model manipulation.
- Exposure to heavy fabrication processes is advantageous.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to communicate effectively across disciplines.
- Experience managing multiple stakeholders from both technical and contractual perspectives.
