Overview
We are looking for an experienced Client-Side Construction Manager to oversee a major data centre project. In this critical role, you will work closely with the MEP Lead and manage the construction phase, ensuring the project is delivered safely, on time, and within budget while maintaining high-quality standards. Your expertise in MEP and data centre projects will be essential to coordinate with contractors, consultants, and stakeholders throughout the project.
Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee day-to-day construction activities on behalf of the client.
- Report directly to the MEP Lead, providing regular updates on programme, progress, risks, and key milestones.
- Coordinate contractors, consultants, and stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
- Monitor health & safety, quality, and compliance across the site.
- Manage construction sequencing, commissioning readiness, and handover activities.
- Identify and mitigate construction risks and resolve site issues proactively.
- Ensure works are delivered in accordance with design specifications and project standards.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Client-Side Construction Manager or in a similar role.
- Strong MEP (Mechanical, Electrical & Public Health) background.
- Previous experience delivering data centre projects is essential.
- Excellent understanding of construction management, commissioning, and project delivery.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, technically complex environment.
