Overview
We are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Automation Engineer for a contract role focused on AI-enabled testing solutions in a leading energy firm. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with developers and stakeholders to design and build automated test suites, enhancing the efficiency and quality of software deliverables. This role requires a strong background in automation testing, with a focus on integrating AI tools to optimize testing processes.
Responsibilities
- Design and build automated test suites for UI, API, and integration layers.
- Create and evolve maintainable test frameworks that scale with the platform.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to ensure quality checks on every change.
- Conduct manual and exploratory testing when needed, especially for complex functionalities.
- Utilize AI tools to enhance test design, scripting, data creation, and defect analysis.
- Collaborate with developers and business stakeholders to define acceptance criteria and test strategies.
- Investigate and report defects, risks, and quality trends clearly.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Automation QA or Test Engineer within Agile teams.
- Hands-on experience using AI tools to improve testing workflows with tangible examples.
- Strong coding skills in languages such as Java, Python, TypeScript, or C#.
- Familiarity with automation tools like Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, as well as API testing tools.
- Ability to develop test frameworks from scratch and maintain them.
- Experience in manual and exploratory testing alongside automation.
- Understanding of risk management, edge cases, and user perspectives in quality assurance.
- Experience testing integrations and multi-system environments is a plus.
