Overview
We are seeking a Contract Quality Assurance Engineer for an initial 3-month engagement to contribute to the Engineering Department. In this role, the engineer will work with complex electronic assemblies and will play a crucial role in ensuring quality standards are met while identifying opportunities for continuous improvement. The contractor will collaborate closely with other engineering professionals and will be expected to enhance existing processes through their expertise.
Responsibilities
- Conduct conformity inspections and First Article Inspections on electronic assemblies.
- Support the development and execution of Plans for Hardware Aspects of Certification (PHAC).
- Assist in the creation and oversight of Hardware Process Assurance Plans (HPAP).
- Perform certification baseline reviews and lifecycle data audits.
- Identify areas for process improvements within the engineering practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with quality standards.
Requirements
- Proven experience with DO-254 in complex electronic programs.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience supporting Hardware Assurance processes.
- Ability to perform First Article Inspections and conformity assessments.
- Experience with Hardware Accomplishment Summary (HAS) documentation.
- Active or eligibility to obtain SC Clearance.
