Overview
We are seeking an experienced Programme Manager with active SC clearance to lead the delivery of complex Data and AI programmes within the Defence or Central Government sectors. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing multifaceted projects and technical workstreams, collaborating with various stakeholders including technical teams and government officials to ensure the successful implementation of digital transformation initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end delivery of complex Data and AI programmes.
- Manage multiple projects and technical workstreams across the programme.
- Oversee delivery across data platforms, analytics, AI/ML, and GenAI initiatives.
- Coordinate efforts among Data Engineers, Data Scientists, AI/ML Engineers, Architects, and Security teams.
- Own programme plans, roadmaps, milestones, and dependencies.
- Manage programme risks, issues, budgets, resources, and commercial considerations.
- Provide clear reporting to senior government stakeholders and governance boards.
- Manage technology suppliers and delivery partners against agreed outcomes.
Requirements
- Active SC Clearance.
- Experience delivering programmes within UK Defence or Central Government.
- Strong background as a Programme Manager or Senior Project Manager in Data and AI programmes.
- Proven track record in delivering Data, AI/ML, GenAI, or advanced analytics programmes.
- Experience working with Data Engineering, Data Science, AI/ML, and Architecture teams.
- Familiarity with managing complex technical programmes that have multiple workstreams and dependencies.
- Strong programme governance skills including planning, RAID, and dependency management.
- Understanding of data governance, security, and responsible AI considerations.
