Overview
The Senior Forward Deployed Engineer will work closely with enterprise clients across the UK and Europe, focusing on the design and construction of vendor-independent infrastructure environments. This role involves collaborating with engineering teams to implement solutions that address real-world constraints while integrating advanced AI and tooling into the engineering processes. The successful candidate will contribute significantly to enterprise resilience initiatives within various regulated sectors.
Responsibilities
- Design and build multi-cloud and hybrid infrastructure environments.
- Own the end-to-end identity and access architecture, including PAM and MFA.
- Map complex dependency graphs and design solutions to mitigate risks.
- Run and own live-fire recovery tests, providing evidence of recovery success.
- Contribute to AI-powered assessment and design tooling efforts.
- Maintain a continuous-intelligence perspective on infrastructure environments.
Requirements
- Proven experience in infrastructure engineering within client-facing roles.
- Strong expertise in multi-cloud and hybrid environments with a focus on vendor independence.
- In-depth knowledge of enterprise network and identity systems, including DNS and PAM.
- Proficiency in infrastructure as code using tools like Terraform and Kubernetes.
- Interest in AI/ML applications for infrastructure automation and risk scoring.
- Demonstrated ability to operate independently in complex client scenarios with senior stakeholders.
