Overview
We are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer for a contract role focused on supporting a large-scale cloud transformation programme. The successful contractor will work with various teams to design and deliver secure cloud infrastructure on Azure, ensuring compliance with security requirements while implementing effective automation and monitoring solutions.
Responsibilities
- Design and manage Azure cloud infrastructure using Terraform and Ansible.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Azure DevOps, and Git.
- Deploy and manage containerised applications with Docker, Kubernetes/AKS, and Helm.
- Develop secure cloud landing zones and governance aligned with compliance needs.
- Implement monitoring and observability solutions using Azure Monitor and Grafana.
- Automate infrastructure processes using Python, PowerShell, and Bash.
- Troubleshoot complex production issues to enhance platform performance and availability.
- Collaborate with Architecture, Security, Cloud, and Engineering teams to deliver robust cloud solutions.
Requirements
- Strong commercial DevOps / Cloud Engineering experience.
- Extensive experience with Azure cloud services.
- Proficient in Terraform and Infrastructure as Code practices.
- Experience with Kubernetes/AKS and Helm.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins and/or Azure DevOps.
- Proficient in Docker and Linux scripting.
- Experience in secure or regulated environments.
- Active SC & NPPV3 security clearance required.
