Overview
As a Senior Applied AI Engineer, you will play a critical role in building and deploying dependable AI systems for defense and national security contexts. Collaborating closely with a team of engineers, you will own end-to-end development processes, ensuring your AI solutions meet high standards of reliability and performance in high-stakes environments. Responsibilities
- Build multi-agent AI systems from the ground up, ensuring they are robust and reliable.
- Engineer and write clean, production-grade code, prioritizing systems-level design decisions.
- Integrate large language and vision-language models into real-world applications.
- Deploy AI systems in various environments, including cloud and on-premises settings.
- Manage production pipelines from data ingestion to inference, ensuring end-to-end quality.
Requirements
- Significant professional software engineering experience, typically 6+ years, with a focus on LLM-based or agentic systems.
- Strong background in writing clean, tested, and maintainable code within production environments.
- Commercial experience designing and deploying multi-agent AI systems, with ownership of the delivery process.
- Proficient in Python and familiar with LLM frameworks such as LangGraph or Haystack.
- Hands-on experience with large multi-modal datasets and building search and retrieval systems.
