Overview
The Senior Azure DevOps Platform Administrator will take ownership of the Azure DevOps environment as an enterprise Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) platform, primarily in a remote capacity with occasional travel to Kent. The individual will work collaboratively with multiple Agile delivery teams to ensure the platform supports their needs through effective administration and governance while driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Administer Azure DevOps Organisations and Projects.
- Manage users, access levels, security groups, permissions, and least-privilege access.
- Configure Azure DevOps Teams, Area Paths, Iteration Paths, and sprint calendars.
- Design and administer Azure Boards, including work item types and custom fields.
- Create dashboards, shared queries, and PMO reporting structures.
- Manage Service Hooks, Webhooks, and Azure DevOps integrations.
- Assess and govern Marketplace extensions and produce governance documentation.
- Support users through training and adoption initiatives.
Requirements
- Demonstrable experience with Azure DevOps Organisation and Project Administration.
- Proficient in Azure DevOps security, permissions, and access management.
- Experience in Azure Boards configuration and administration.
- Knowledge of Area Paths, Iteration Paths, and Agile delivery structures.
- Ability to configure inherited processes and work item customisation in Azure DevOps.
- Experience with Shared Queries, Dashboards, and reporting capabilities.
- Understanding of Service Hooks, Webhooks, and Marketplace extensions management.
- Experience supporting multiple Agile delivery teams in enterprise environments.
