Overview
We are seeking a Senior Finance Manager to provide interim support on a part-time basis for three days a week over an initial three-month contract. In this role, you will collaborate closely with the Financial Controller and the broader Finance team to enhance financial reporting, improve operational processes, and ensure efficient finance operations. The position offers a flexible opportunity to contribute to a leading company in the Private Transport Engineering sector, with potential for contract extension based on business needs.
Responsibilities
- Support the day-to-day operation of the finance function alongside the Financial Controller.
- Assist with month-end activities, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Prepare and review financial journals, accruals, prepayments, and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Enhance financial reporting by utilizing Business Central for improved efficiency.
- Contribute to the preparation of monthly management accounts and financial analysis.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and standardisation within finance workflows.
- Produce comprehensive documentation for finance procedures and key tasks.
Requirements
- Qualified Accountant or qualified by experience.
- Demonstrated experience in financial reporting, management accounting, and analysis.
- Proven track record in process improvements and automating reporting procedures.
- Experience in interim project-based roles within finance.
- Familiarity with Business Central, Dynamics, or similar ERP systems is preferred.
- Background in transport, engineering, or related industries is desirable.
