Overview
We are seeking a Freelance Senior Technical Designer to join a leading creative design practice on a contract basis, starting immediately and running through mid-December. This role requires a technically proficient designer with experience in interior and experiential design, who can effectively convert creative concepts into precise technical drawings and comprehensive design documentation. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with the design team to ensure consistency and accuracy in all technical deliverables.
Responsibilities
- Produce detailed technical drawings and design documentation using Revit.
- Develop rendered elevations to clearly communicate design intent.
- Create detailed joinery drawings and bespoke interior detailing.
- Translate creative concepts into technically deliverable design solutions.
- Work closely with the design team to ensure accuracy and consistency across drawing packages.
- Support the development of interior and experiential design schemes from concept to technical delivery.
- Manage workload to meet deadlines in a fast-paced creative environment.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Senior Technical Designer or similar role.
- Strong proficiency in Revit is essential.
- Experience in interior design and/or experiential design.
- Demonstrable portfolio showcasing technical drawing skills, rendered elevations, and joinery detailing.
- Excellent understanding of materials, finishes, construction methods, and interior detailing.
- Ability to interpret creative design concepts into comprehensive technical packages.
- Organized, proactive, and confident in collaborative work with a creative team.
- Available to start immediately.
