Overview
The Site Supervisor will oversee a large-scale ground-mounted Solar PV project, ensuring that operations run smoothly and safely over a 12-month contract period. The successful candidate will manage day-to-day site activities and supervise subcontractors, focusing on the delivery of quality outcomes in line with health, safety, and environmental standards. This role involves close collaboration with various project stakeholders to maintain project timelines and quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Supervise subcontractors and daily site activities.
- Oversee ground-mounted Solar PV installation works.
- Ensure HSQE and CDM requirements are met.
- Deliver toolbox talks and monitor site safety.
- Monitor workmanship and installation quality.
- Report progress, risks, delays, and issues to the Project Manager.
- Support snagging, quality checks, and project completion.
- Act as the main on-site contact for subcontractors and suppliers.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of site supervision experience.
- Ground-mounted Solar PV experience is essential.
- Experience working on large-scale solar or renewable energy projects.
- Strong subcontractor management experience.
- Good understanding of HSQE and UK construction regulations.
- Ability to read technical drawings and specifications.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- SMSTS and First Aid certifications are essential.
