Overview
We are seeking a Software Architect / Tech Lead to play a pivotal role in our software engineering team. This hybrid position, requiring two days onsite and the remainder remote, involves collaborating with senior architects, product managers, and technical teams to set the architectural direction for software products while driving innovative engineering practices. The ideal candidate will leverage their extensive experience to lead development teams, conduct technical governance, and contribute directly to hands-on coding and engineering efforts.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership and architectural direction to internal and external development teams.
- Participate in system coding alongside development teams, performing formal code reviews.
- Enforce best practices in security, performance, and scalability of software.
- Conduct technology evaluations and risk assessments of vendor software.
- Communicate technical designs and architecture artifacts to stakeholders.
- Lead prototyping efforts and evaluate technology trade-offs for projects.
- Collaborate with product teams for on-time, on-budget delivery of software solutions.
- Mentor and train junior engineers to enhance team capabilities.
Requirements
- 10+ years of relevant work experience in technical or engineering roles.
- 5+ years of experience designing, architecting, and delivering enterprise-grade solutions.
- Strong knowledge of Agile software development methodologies.
- Expertise in AI engineering frameworks and cloud-based architecture.
- Proficiency in modern tech stacks including Python, Kubernetes, Node.js, and relational databases.
- Experience managing and mentoring engineering teams in high-pressure environments.
- Excellent communication skills for interfacing with diverse stakeholders.
- Hands-on programming experience alongside development teams is preferred.
