Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Solutions Architect with expertise in cloud architecture to lead the development of a new platform within an established InsurTech company. In this role, you will collaborate closely with engineering teams to design, build, and operate modern event-driven systems, particularly using Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Your extensive experience will allow you to make architectural decisions and take ownership of the operational practices and solutions.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and architecture of a new cloud platform using GCP.
- Collaborate with engineering squads to drive the platform's development.
- Implement best practices for scalable and maintainable cloud architecture.
- Evaluate and integrate serverless technologies, including Cloud Run and Pub/Sub.
- Define and enforce CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) processes.
- Monitor system performance and implement security measures.
- Provide guidance and leadership throughout the project lifecycle.
- Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the team.
Requirements
- Minimum 8-9 years of experience as a Solutions Architect.
- Strong expertise in GCP, with hands-on experience in serverless technologies.
- Proficiency in Python or similar programming languages.
- Experience with CI/CD practices and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
- Familiarity with monitoring and security frameworks.
- Proven track record of leading projects and managing engineering teams.
- Ability to make autonomous architectural decisions.
- Experience in event-driven platform design and operation.
