Overview
We are looking for a detail-oriented Supplier Quality Inspector with a strong aerospace background to support our fuselage program. The successful candidate will perform inspections at supplier facilities, ensuring compliance with rigorous quality and regulatory standards. This role involves collaborating with suppliers, resolving non-conformances, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Perform in-process and final source inspections at supplier facilities to verify compliance with engineering drawings and specifications.
- Interpret aerospace blueprints, GD&T, and technical documentation accurately.
- Document inspection results and generate detailed reports for stakeholders.
- Identify non-conformances and collaborate with suppliers to implement corrective actions.
- Lead NCR resolution processes through root cause analysis and preventive measures.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and supplier quality development.
Requirements
- Proven experience in aerospace manufacturing and inspection, particularly on airframe or fuselage structures.
- Strong knowledge of precision measurement tools such as calipers and micrometers.
- Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and specifications.
- Familiarity with quality systems and standards, particularly AS9100.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
- Certification in inspection or quality (e.g., CMM, NDT) is a plus.
- Hands-on experience with aircraft fuselage or assembly inspection is preferred.
- Background in supplier quality or source inspection environments is desirable.
