Overview
We are looking for experienced and detail-oriented Source Inspectors with a strong background in Aerospace to support operations related to a fuselage program. This role is essential in ensuring that all supplied components and assemblies comply with quality, engineering, and regulatory standards prior to their final integration. The successful candidates will work closely with suppliers and various stakeholders to uphold stringent quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Perform in-process and final source inspections at supplier facilities to verify compliance with engineering drawings, specifications, and purchase order requirements.
- Interpret aerospace blueprints, GD&T, and technical documentation accurately.
- Ensure adherence to AS9100, FAA regulations, and customer-specific quality standards.
- Document inspection results, generate reports, and communicate findings to stakeholders.
- Identify non-conformances and collaborate with suppliers on corrective and preventive actions.
- Lead the NCR (Non-Conformance Report) resolution process, conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective measures.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and assist in supplier quality development.
Requirements
- Proven experience in Aerospace manufacturing and inspection, particularly with airframe or fuselage structures.
- Strong knowledge of precision measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and height gauges.
- Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and specifications.
- Familiarity with quality systems and standards, including AS9100.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication abilities, both written and verbal.
- Certification in inspection or quality (e.g., CMM, NDT, or equivalent) is advantageous.
- Hands-on experience in supporting OEM aerospace programs and background in supplier quality or source inspection environments is preferred.
