Overview
We are seeking experienced Source Inspectors to ensure the quality of aerospace components and assemblies. This role is integral to our fuselage program, involving in-depth inspections and collaboration with suppliers to maintain compliance with stringent regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will leverage their expertise to drive quality assurance efforts within the aerospace sector, particularly in Belfast.
Responsibilities
- Perform in-process and final source inspections at supplier facilities.
- Interpret aerospace blueprints, GD&T, and technical documentation accurately.
- Ensure adherence to AS9100, FAA regulations, and customer-specific quality standards.
- Document inspection results and generate detailed reports for stakeholders.
- Identify non-conformances and collaborate with suppliers on corrective actions.
- Lead NCR resolution and drive root cause analysis initiatives.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and supplier quality development.
Requirements
- Proven experience in aerospace manufacturing and inspection, particularly with airframe or fuselage structures.
- Strong knowledge of precision measurement tools such as calipers and micrometers.
- Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and specifications.
- Familiarity with quality systems and standards, specifically AS9100.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to document findings clearly.
- Certification in inspection or quality is an asset (e.g., CMM, NDT, or equivalent).
- Hands-on experience with aircraft interior structures and assemblies is preferred.
