Overview
We are seeking an experienced User Researcher for a 6-month contract, working remotely to support an IT consultancy's project with a UK central government agency. The contractor will focus on enhancing a specific healthcare product by conducting user research and testing to identify user needs and validate product experiences.
Responsibilities
- Conduct user interviews and surveys to gather qualitative insights.
- Design and implement user testing and usability studies.
- Analyze research data to identify user behaviors and pain points.
- Translate findings into actionable recommendations and user stories.
- Communicate research outcomes effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Collaborate with Product Managers, Designers, and technical teams throughout the research process.
- Evaluate product use cases and provide evidence-based recommendations.
Requirements
- Proven track record of user research within digital or technology environments.
- Experience designing and conducting qualitative and quantitative research.
- Strong skills in research analysis and synthesis.
- Ability to identify user needs and translate findings into product improvements.
- Experience working collaboratively in multidisciplinary Agile teams.
- Familiarity with emerging technology and complex digital transformation programs is advantageous.
- Prior experience in a central government or public-sector environment is a plus.
