Overview
We are seeking an experienced 3rd Line Engineer specializing in Entra, Microsoft 365, and Intune to support our project-based IT services. The contractor will take on various IT escalation and project work, interfacing with SMEs while operating primarily remote, with occasional site visits. This role is ideal for someone who manages their own consultancy or has multiple clients due to the sporadic nature of the work.
Responsibilities
- Deliver Intune design, build, and remediation projects including device enrolment and compliance policies.
- Configure Entra ID (Azure AD) and manage identity and MFA projects.
- Conduct Microsoft 365 tenant migrations, focusing on hardening and implementing security baselines.
- Troubleshoot complex escalations from 1st and 2nd line teams requiring in-depth solutions.
- Document technical solutions and maintain clear handover processes for delivered work.
Requirements
- Demonstrable experience with Intune and Conditional Access implementation in production environments.
- Strong administration knowledge of Entra ID and Microsoft 365.
- Broad generalist background, adaptable to new and unfamiliar environments.
- Ability to effectively scope and deliver project work, maintaining clear communication during handovers.
- Prior experience in a managed service provider (MSP) environment is advantageous.
- Microsoft certifications such as MD-102, SC-300, or MS-102 are preferred.
